work does suck period.
the only job you can get in gowanda is in fast food or a gas staition. and trust me subway sucks. like our manager doesn't do anything but complain and she gets 45 hours and we get less than 15. its bs if you ask me. the only reason i like working there is because i work with my friends! oh yea plus no union dues like jubs and she is really good on giving you the days you ask for off. but if your thinking about working at subway you might as well not apply there waste of time because we dont need anyone.
I definitely have to work to survive... There is no way I can get through my day without spending at least four hours on working...
I actually don't mind my job (I work at Burger King) Perhaps it is because besides school, it is the only other thing i have to do. On saturday night, I usually don't go to parties or just out in general, so i usually work. As pathetic as it may sound, i look forward to work. I get along with all the people i work with. I just wish i would get scheduled more often.
I work therefor I am. I work to live the life that I want and complaining and moaning about it doesn't make it go away! I work at McDonalds and dude it is too easy for me! But it also lets me know that this is the job that i don't want to have in the future therefore it keeps me motivated to keep my grades up and go to colledge.
I hate working! but i have been doing it since i was fourteen. (under the table) I hate waking up every day going to school and then haveing to work for 5 hours before comeing home to do homework. i hate the fact that i never get a home cooked meal that i'm always eating crap food from the jubs. i actualy think my waist is starting to look like all those great tasting dounut i eat. all I really want is to be able to come hom and take a nap and do nothing but i guess that's life. in some ways i can't wait till i'm out of school where at least i'll be working about the same time i'm in school rather then school all day then work forever. it's a big pain in the butt no lie but i don't think (not working) i would be able to take all the money i need form my parents. I buy my cloths and my phone bill and all te crap my parents wont pay for. i pay for ski every week and anything else i need and most of the time my food for the week but don't want to complaining to much cuz without the money (the very little money) how would i get by. how the heck did i even pull threw without a job???? how did i get anything? I would love to quite but i know i wont. i know i probly couldn't
I don't know where my money goes or HOW i did things when i didn't have a job n didn't have money. It seems like now that i have a job thats my life and i feel like i should be enjoying my highschool year but instead im always working. That shouldn't be how it is. I HATE IT!!! working shouldn't be my life yet and working AND school is rediculous.

it seems like all i do is work work work. it is like my whole goal in life is to work. and yeah i actually do have to work to survive! i don't think it brings down my grades but it is def a destraction. Plus you have no where to work around here. I work at Subway yeah it is easy butsome of the people that you work with (manager) are so bi polar! She is so psycho!
I applied around last year, but couldn't get a job. They didn't think I was right for the nursing home...
But I have worked before, and yes, it sucks. Especially in Gowanda.
I hate work!! My grades really don't suffer because Iam just that good:) But i do love the money. I just hate how much time my job takes up and my bosses suck! Iam not sure how some people can be so mean. But in the end Jubilee really isn't that bad, its a pretty easy job and i work with lots of ace chicks!
work diffenetly sucks. they cut back our hours. And they are diffenetly unfar. but i need a job and need the money. and plus iff i try to go anywere else i cant because its either fast food or state home.
I hate work.But i have to work. In order for me to do anything i need money. I pay my own bills and everything i want i pay for or have to pay my parents back.The only good thing about work is my friends that're there.
I think that its important to work during high school. It teaches you responsibility and shows you how "Real Life" is. My grades don't suffer I just put school over hanging out with my friends ;) I feel like I have more freedom when I have a job because I always have money to do what I want instead of relying on the rents to give me cashhhh..
Seriously. I think people that say that they would be bored out of their minds if they didn't work are crazy. I LOVE sleeping in and just having nothing to do except go to the beach.

I think that work has its ups and downs. Sometimes work can be fun, but it is what you make of it.I feel like a more independent person. However, what does suck is the fact that I drive at least 40 minutes to get there. There is no place in gowanda thats worth to work at. Also the fact that you have to balance everything and prioritize is a huge issue. School must come first so putting off a social life because you need to work is a tough decision to make somtimes.
Dude I used to work at GOODS and my grades all sufferd. I was in the play Little Shop of Horrors and well I couldnt handle all of it at once, so I quit working for the sake of liveing. But, i'm getting older and i need money for collage books... so I'm hopeing to get a job at game stop though, in febuary. *crosses fingers*
Work is pretty cool for me because It is a summer job, and from 9 til 2 so i Dont have to wake up early and i can still do stuff at night.
I don't work much and when i do go to work it is for a short time so...work doesnt effect me really. my grades still suffer for no reason though.

I love to work during my highschool years. It puts needed money in my poket and helps with things like the Seinor Dinner Dance. I know you know that working at Jubilee did affect my second quarter grades Geist..... you know who i am... I am working on your class more than any other now and hope to pass with flying colors.

Working can be a pain in the butt, but we must all do it. Inorder to get a better education andto get higher in your job you need to work and work hard. I am a farmer so I know more than anyone about hard work. Those who complain about subway need to live a day in a farmers shoes. You don't get days off, and the pay is horrible. So suck it up and do your work.
I think that working is overated.We do such much throughout our school career.They put so much emphasize on doing work and it seems that is all we do.i mean i see how it helps but with all the work i always have to do it seems i have no time to have any fun.These years are suppossed to fun.And it doesnt seem like im having any.But this is what were made to do.WORK!!!
I love my job. Getting paid to sit on my glutius maximus and do little work for 8 hours a day. its not so much fun doing my job in the winter but at the end of a 32-40 hour week it pays off!
seriously if you dont wanna work then be friggin lazy it doesnt interfere with grades since school is too easy anyways so if you dont like to work then dont

work...hmm well its what i do. my school dont work suffer at all much because i only go to school til eleven thirty. sometimes i go 12-4 or 1-5 and its nice to get school and work done by five and still have the rest of the day to do what i want. but now im eighteen so im getting like thirty plus a week wich is nice and wish i had gotten more because i have too much to pay for these days. but im used to it by now and have realised that work is what you have to do to survive. i cant live wihtout money! i hate being broke! lol but so does everyone.
Well I dont really worry about this at all just because I dont work. I will get to that sometime but me not working isnt effecting me at all at this moment. So I will continue to have fun and play games all day sweet. O yes dont forget about stuffing my face full with food.
I hate it because i work weekends and I can't go out all night like i use to do.
I enjoy working because it allows me to earn money so I can by the things that I want and things that I need. I don't think working effects my grades.
Working is actually not that bad for me this year. i only go to school until 11:22 so i get some time to relax before I go to work.My job is really easy. I press buttons on a cash register and hand out food!its not rocket science lol...but hey its a job right. The only days it sucks is when we get stupid customers that think its funny to make you mad. Like last night a guy left his tray in the dining room and a girl i was working with said hey thanks for leaving your tray there n hes like you welcome n hey ill leave a cup here for you 2! so he left it on our garbage can!then he chucked one @ the resturant.Some people are so rude!And ill see people all the time take too many napkins so they just throw them on the floor.Then you get some creepy old guys that will try to hit on you. Like last night this guy was like hows miss stephanie doing today? TALK ABOUT CREEEPY! you dont know me so dont use my name lol. thats why i dont wear my name tag 1/2 the time...but besides the creepy n rude customers i like my job.
I don't work since I dont need to, I'm fine with having to save up money to get what I want. I don't feel the need to waste my time working during highschool since after college I'll be working for the rest of my life.
Working blows like the wind during winter. It is very cold and many people are jerks and i get few breaks. lol. It effects my grades a little cause i don't get home til eleven thirty it sucks lol
Right now i don't work but i watch my little sibling until my parents get home which suck cause my sister like to sing hannah motana at the top of lungs. But it better than pumping gas or working at mcdonalds,sorry to those who do.My grandpa usually is my bank so i have to worry about money that much and plus i got my 18 money the other so i'll good for a while.
i havent worked since the summer i used to only get a few hours because there was so many people there plus the managers were always on me about something really stupid and little. they were all old horny ladies that worked there that played favorites (mostly with the teenage boys yuck!) but i feel like it was a waste of my summer and september because all it did was stress me out because nobody was ever laid back or wanted to make work more enjoyable they only wanted to complain and talk about people behind there backs.i found that even when i wasn't at work all i could do was talk about how horrible my job was. now that i quit i am much less stressed and don't have to deal with outragous people plus i was making less then $50 a week usually around only $30. and my mom gives me money when i need it so lifes not so bad but now i can't do my tax refund because they still haven't sent my W2s which is streesin me out cuz i want my money lol

work is not the greatest but it gets you farther in life. i hate working with someone who is a jerk to you and does not like you because of a family member of yours. my boss thinks that i am the same as my uncle but i am not. i work hard to get the things that i want and need unlike lots of people in this school they get everything handed to then on a silver plate and they do not work for it at all that is what is stupid the people that work hard fopr things get treated like crap and the ones that do nothing and just get things handed to them get treated like they are a queen or king that is just stupid and unfair.

i my self don't have to work because i just get checks from the seneca nation ha ha ha b*t$hs. but if anything where to mess up my grades it is probly the fact that i play sports every day after school. but if your not seneca i would suggest to to get off your lazy butt and get a job.

I used to try to work. I had a one day a week job and i got like 49 bucks and that was it. I quit because working sucks and now i have like zero money except for quarters and nickels...just kidding

I know I need to work to survive, because I have to work for everything. Without my job, I would be going crazy and my life couldnt function properly at all. There are times when work does effect school, but not usually. It kills me when I have to work 8 hour shifts all weekend then go home and do school work, but I get it done, I'm stressed out sometimes because of that but, I guess it is all worth it, the paycheck-and getting your schoolwork done. But lately all I find myself doing is stressing about work because they give us unfair and crappy hours, then im stuck with no money except for the money towards gas to get school and work. Oh well, I'm trying just to focus on this last semester of high school, if people at work wanna be a-holes then whatever, I don't need the stress. Otherwise yeah, work definitely helps out, and i dont mind working and going to school.
