Movie Madness

Recently I have seen a slew of movies. Before P.S. I Love You came out, my friend got some free tickets to see the film before it was released to the public. (Sneak Previews are great because if the movie is terrible, the show was free anyway.) She sobbed through the entire movie while I was trying not to drown in the ocean of sappy clichés. (For those of you that are going to go see it, watch out for the flashback scene where they first meet. It's hysterical and yet poorly edited.)

I saw Sweeney Todd and being a huge Tim Burton fan, this movie was great. It is a musical (and yes, Johnny Depp does sing--quite well, actually) so do not get up and walk out because it was not what you thought it was. I really enjoyed it.

I do not know why I was dragged to see the sequel to National Treasure, but I was. The only redeeming factor in the entire movie is Nicholas Cage's quirky (and ever-so-adorable) sidekick, Reilly.

Your post should be a bit on the longer side. What movies have you seen lately that you would recommend? What movie(s) are your favorite? What movies have you seen and hated?

My most recent movie was, and I'm not ashamed to admit it, Alvin and the Chipmunks. In a theatre crowded with little kids and a big fat lady who's cellphone went off. Worth every moment, because I've wanted the chipmunks to look like chipmunks since I was five, and because Jesse McCartney is voicing Theadore. It doesn't matter if the movie sucks a sack (it didn't), Jesse Flipping McCartney! <3

Before that I saw Michael Moore's Sicko on pay TV, and now I'm looking forward to seeing Sweeney Todd. Let's all take a field trip to Fleet Street for meat pies and shaves!

The last movie I went to was "Charlie Wilsons War" and I really liked it. If you hear the theme (Afganhistan in the cold war / american politician wants to help - true story by the way) you would never think it would be funny, but it really is!
I would definatly reccomend it!

The other movie I saw was "National Treasure" - it is ok, but kind of annoying because its sooooo unrealistic (breaking into buckingham palace - yeah right, white house? no problem!). But it had some funny moments at least.

I recently saw Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma. It's a wonderful Italian romantic comedy that's for people of all ages. It's adorable.

I saw the 2nd national treasure movie, and the series does interest me even though most things they do are unrealistic. Lets just hope them breaking into stuff such as the White house spur on criminals to try the same...

doesn't spur on criminals*

I saw Enchanted, The Great Debaters, I Am Legend, and Juno recently.
I actually liked them all because they were entertaining. Except I thought that The Great Debaters was kind of boring. I was falling asleep through it and it was slow.
I Am Legend was pretty good but I didn't like the ending so that made me mad.
Juno was funny and entertaining and ended nicely.
Enchanted was just another Disney film right? It was alright. The only thing that bugged me was whenever that chick would sing.

The movie that i have recently seen was JUNO! The film is very cute and really funny. It is a romantic comedy through the eyes of any typical 16 year old girl. One movie I want to see is Untraceable. I saw the previews and its one of those crime thriller type of movies.

Ooh, recently i saw Moulin Rouge for the first time. (yes, i know it has been out for about 8 years). It was fantastic. It is one of my favorites. The story line was creative and fresh, and the acting was phenomenal! Ewan McGregor was fantastic. I absolutly love his voice. If you are a fan of musicals, you should definitly check this one out. I would love to see the movie 27 Dresses. Some friends and i were just talking about it. Now, i don't usually like chick flicks, but this one actually looks interesting. The story line is cute, and new. It seems like every single chick flick is predictable. I can pretty much sum up every chick flick in about 2 minutes. "Boy meets girl. They fall in love. They get into stupid fight and it looks like they are through. Oh no, look, the man comes, (valiently and romantically of course) and declares that he was wrong and that he can't stop thinking of her and loves her. She hesitates at first, but then realizes she loves him too, and they make out. End of movie."

The other night on my birthday me and my cousins watched "I Know who Killed Me" with Lindsay Lohan, and I thought it totally was going to not be all that great, because I didnt know how lindsay lohan would be in a "scary movie", but it actually was really really good. The trick is you have to really pay attention and its a "thinking movie". it makes you think, so its tricky. but it is really good i think, except some parts were alittle gross, but oh well...and the ending i was hoping for a better ending, its alright, but coulda been better. Overall its a good one.
