Happy New Year 2008!!!

Happy New Year, Seniors!

I guess I fall into the category of "I make resolutions and then never follow through with them." I will be gung-ho about starting off the new year in a great way and then January 2nd rolls around and I am asking, "What's the special at Burger King?" (Not really, but you get the point.)

Do you have any resolutions for the New Year? Do you follow through with them? And why is it, that it is so easy to "fall off the wagon"?

New Year's resolutions are difficult to follow through on because bettering yourself is. The larger the commitment, the easier it is to break. That's why I never make New Year's resolutions...my resolutions are day to day ones.

I don't have any new year's resolution because I can never stick with them. People tend to not follow them because it's not like they think about them everyday. I'd rather come up with a new goal every day or every week, like whatever I'm suppose to accomplish for that time being.

I do make try and make New Years revolution but like everyone else, I do not end up following through with them. this year one of my revolutions was to be on time for school and work and such. So far I haven't really been on time for school because i have already came late to school the last two days, except today i was actually early! But i dont know how much longer that will last.

Every year I try to make a New Years resolution, this year mine is to be on time! I chose this because I am never on time to anything and I'm definately going to need to be next year when I'm gone to college. It always seems hard to keep doing your resolution when your not thinking about it all the time, but I think if everyone committed themselves to it they could do it.

I generally don't really make resolutions because i really can't stick to one thing what i try to do is make a list of certain things i would like to do through out the year. This year my list consists of
1. Going To Graceland(where elvis lived)
2.Graduate!!!
3.Start college on a good note
4. Accomplish more than a minimum wage job
It is just silly things like that. I belive the reason why people don't really stick with their new years resolutions is beacuse they just simply get bored with it or they just don't take the time to make sure that they full fill their goal. So try making your resolutions more intresting.

I always fall off the wagon... it stinks... especially because I always make the most nice resolutions. Well not really but... it happens. My resolution this year was that I wanted to weigh twice as much by the end of the school year (then you can't fall off the wagon right away ;)

i vowed to eat healthy and stop arguing.

so of course yesterday i got a delicious double cheeseburger and argued till i was blue in te face....

resolutions never work!

the thrill and excitement wear off soon and the greasy food calls to me.

I'm so bad at folowing resulutions that I didn't even start making them (exept of course gain 100 pounds - my family expects me to come home fat from America :D)

i couldn't really think of a resolution this year. i don't really have a choice in the stuff i need to do like college and graduate i need to do those i dont want them to be a resolution because isnt that something you are suppose to change about yourself? well i dont really know what i would change ...lose weight is pointless to write because i am forever on and off diets*(it never works) and that was all i could think of so i guess this year i just have lots of stuff i have to do . no new yeats resolution.

I've never made a new years resolution, I do the things I do because thats the way i want them done. You shouldnt have to make a resolution if you think there is a problem, it should already be taken care of not just because it's a new year..which means nothing.

My New Year's resolution is to stay on the wagon this time and not fall off! Kidding! My real resolution is to raise my grade in english11

I do not have in New Year's resolutions but if I did I probably would not be able to follow through with it because I am not very good with things like that.

Hmmm... This is a tricky one. I am guessing to wish all of you terrible souls to be safe and watch out for yourselfs. Yopu hang around freinds too much and they turn on ya. Noone can watch their backs too well, thats a fact. I got the bodies to prove it.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

My only resolution this year is to increase the amount Bee Slaying by 10% but in all truthfulness the reason we fall off the wagon is because its too long of a time to keep a small goal.

New years revolutions are very stupid and i hate it when people make them because i think that if u have something about yourself that you would like to change then why wait until it is a new year. I make a resolution for my entire life such as destroying all you chumps out there in call of duty 4.

New Year's resolutions are stupid because its always someone tellin themselves there gonna do somethin well obviously if they arent doing their resolution before they say there gonna then its not gonna happen its just a dumb tradition

My New Year's resolution is to try and be more conservative. "go green" or what ever it is. but i don't know why it is hard to keep a resolution. but this new year's will never be forgotten because this new year's i got my appendix taken out. ch..ya that's right i was sitting in a hospital bed when the ball dropped. but it's ok!

well i forever make a new years resolution when the time comes around and never follow through with it. its kinda difficult though because im not use to doing different things. but this year im not doing to bad. i had a few resolutions on my list.
1. to start working out and stay in shape-its going pretty good so far
2. to do my homework and projects-i rocked out on my english 11 presentation the other day. i suck at life at english so dont ask how im in there this year.
and last but not least. . . .
3. to pass all my classes and be able to graduate with my senior class of 2008! woot woot!

i think its funny because on new years eve i was listenng to everyone's resolutions and then fter the ball dropped i was looking around and seing everyone doing what they said their resolution was. not very many people go through with what they say they are going to do. i myself am one who does not ever follow thorugh with what i say.

my resolution for me was to straighten up in school and get it done, and get better grades. its easy to fall off the wagon because maybe you are doing what u said you were going to do and sometimes you maybe just give up.

When I was younger I used to make resolutions but like you I never went through with them. So now i don't bother. Whats the point if nothing comes out of it. So to answer your question no I don't have a resolution.

News years resolutions never work for me, because I always forgot what they were. they dont really matter to me but, this year I am going to at least attempt like at least two. One-To save my money, and not spend it so much on stuff I dont need. Two-Um get the hell out of this school and graduate. Thats all really I guess.

My new years resolution is...to not have one because i don't follow through with it so not having one makes life alot easier.

Alfalfa Jr said...

I agree with # one...Best not have one, because i gurantee if you ask anybody they have never followed through with a serious New Years resolution.

paigeisgod said...

i dont make resolutions because no one ever follows them. its easy to fall off the band wagon because theres no real reason or motivation to do what you want.

i dont have any set new years resalution because i now i wont follow through with them but the on that poped in my head was to score about 40 goals at least in lacrosse and have anther 40 assists and win the league. but that was just something that came to mind.

boy u stank take a bath said...

Personally I don't make resolutions but I do set goals for myself, not simply because of a new year but just for the betterment of me.
I know that it is easy to fall off the wagon because we are so used to doing what we normally do. A permanent change takes a while to occur. If at first you don't succeed, try again.

don't do drugs and get a job and pass school and graduate. and hope i don't f**k up this change up for my self

i dont have any new years resolutions.. and i think its easy for people to "fall off the wagon" because tryin to change something suddenly is hard since your used to the way you were before and dont have the ethics to change.. well some do but for the most part people want to change the way they were living such as starting a diet or something like that..

my new years resolution is probably to get in better hape and be more toned. im doing really good with my legs. i dont ever make new years resolutions because i can stick with them. i always screw it up. i dont have enough power to make myself do it i guess. which is kinda sad. but oh well.

I have had a few resolutions for the new year, and today it is Jan. 8th and truthfully I have not followed through with any of them.

during the new year there a few things on my mind. At first I didn't even try but about three weeks later it seemed to be a little easier than i expected.
