"Geist for President" --by bees4ever

In November, the American people will vote for the President of the US --the most powerful man (or woman?!) on earth. Until then all the candidates will have held thousands of speeches, spend millions of $$$ for their campaigns (which amount could probably feed two or three African countries), and fought for every voter.

Who will you vote for? Will you vote at all or do you not care? What do you think about the whole election? In my opinion, it is too much about the person himself (or herself) and not enough about what they want to change (or not change).

What do you think? (Shouldn't we just all vote for Miss Geist?) ;)

I am not sure this is the forum in which I would like to discuss my political views, but I will say that I think we have a responsibility to future generations to get out there and make a difference.

bees4ever, I think you are right; candidates are power-hungry. (I can't help but feel that all these people have what is called "the God complex" Who are they to say that they are so great that they can lead this country better than anyone else?! A person should not want to be president.)

I appreciate your nomination, but ah, I am not sure you would like policies. (A Tree-Hugging holiday? Kiss a Bee Today day? Wave to Everyone You See Week?) =)

Thrice curse New York and its refusal to let registered independents vote. I felt very much raped of my rights that day, and still do.

Obama in 2008. His policies and his heart can stand for themselves, but I would like to point out that Hillary Clinton has the most untrustworthy eyes of any candidate. She looks like a bird.

I dont care about the election at all. Politics dont interest me at all. I dont feel like wasting my time on it either. So I will just not vote or care at all and let other people make the mistake and put someone stupid in the office.

first off i wont be old enouh to vote and also idc who wins im not into politics and i dont complain about the president so i just stay out of it all

It wont really matter who becomes president. I think the gov't is just out there to pick their own president and no matter who we vote for they will change it to vote for who they want. And did you know Campaigners all together spend like 1 billion dollars on campaign and America spends the same amount on gum each year.

i think that ms. Geist would be a good president. The whole country would be helping to save the earth and what not. That would be cool, because this Global warming stuff is scary!!! I'm not old enought to vote, but if i was i would probably vote for....... barack obama. not really sure why, but for some reason i think he'll do something good. ya that is a stupid reason to wanna vote for him, but i think he's a cool dude and i would like to see him be the president.

I honestly don't know who I'll vote for. I honestly find the whole idea of the people choosing the president kinda stupid since most people are stupid. When people vote for a president (Bush) they don't think enough. He won the vote twice but over majority of the people ended up being pissed about how he ran the country. Now we have another election and another scapegoat for the people to be pissed off at. It's democracy at its finest.

Neither Obama or Clinton will win. It will be McCain, no matter how much "change" or anythign else will go on. The bottom line is CLinton and Obama are still minorities in the US, and thus will not become the future president.

I think im gonna vote for somebody, im just not sure who yet. most politicians are liars and crooks anyways, but its up to us to pick the least of the evils.
